Cocktail Recipes - You Can Make at Home
The Classic Martini
Just have the vermouth blow a kiss at the gin/vodka, and of course, stirred not shaken!
1. Chill the martini glass in ice water
2. Fill a glass shaker ¾ with ice, add a dash of dry vermouth, lightly stir to coat sides of the glass shaker and ice
3. Strain the dry vermouth
4. Pour gin or vodka in a spiral motion to coat the stained ice
5. Stir gently in a lifting motion at

least 15 times counter clockwise, carefully not to bruise
6. Completely drain ice water from the martini glass and shake dry 7. Gently pour cocktail into chilled martini glass using a strainer
8. Either drop one chilled queen olive (no sword) into the cocktail or rim lip of the martini glass with rind of lemon peel, twist, and drop into the cocktail
(Note: for a wet martini partially strain the dry vermouth and for a dirty martini stir in olive juice to your taste with the gin or vodka)

Our twist on a standard
1. On the bottom of a glass shaker combine simple syrup and fresh lemon juice (1:1)
2. Fill the glass shaker with ice
3. Add a quality bourbon (not whiskey or rye) and Grand Marnier (2:1)
4. Cover and shake vigorously
5. In a highball glass twist a lemon peel,drop into glass, and fill with ice
Whiskey Cocktail
6. Strain the cocktail into the highball glass leaving enough room to top off with lemon-lime soda
7. Garnish with a lemon wheel

(To make simple syrup for a 8 oz or larger glass - a highball glass, just dissolve 1 part sugar in 1 part boiling water. Cool, bottle, seal tightly, and refrigerate for up to a week.)
